Professor of Political Science at The Ohio State University.
I am a Professor in the Department of Political Science at The Ohio State University. I earned my Ph.D. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2006. My research focuses on the intersection of preferences, beliefs, and communication, and how these factors shape politics and policy.
My work spans political methodology and American politics, with particular focus on:
Deliberation’s Dark Matter: Silence, Marginal Speech, and Systematic Exclusion
Euchan Jang, William Minozzi, and Michael A. Neblo.
Examining whether deliberative forums systematically exclude disadvantaged groups through silence and filtered speech, with implications for democratic theory and practice.
Partisan Biases in Source Credibility Beliefs
Valeria Burdea, William Minozzi, and Jonathan Woon.
Investigating how partisan identity shapes perceptions of others’ factual accuracy, linking motivated reasoning to fact-based polarization.
How to Rebuild Trust in Representative Institutions
William Minozzi, Marco Castradori, Manuel Diaz-Olivares, Ryan Kennedy, and Michael A. Neblo.
Examining whether Deliberative Town Halls can authentically restore citizen trust in elected officials and representative institutions, drawing on two decades of events across four countries.
